  • About Me

    Who Am I?

    Me

My name is Nahid Sarangi, and I am 21 years old. I was born and have been raised most of my life in Edmonton, Alberta. I graduated from Harry Ainlay Composite High School in 2005 with Honors and an International Baccalaureate Diploma. I have a background in Computing Science from the University of Alberta, for the past two years I have been attending the Digital Media Design program at the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT). Although the program was designed to provide students with experiences and skills in a variety of multimedia fields, my focus has primarily been in the fields of web design and development. From this program I've been able to develop a wide range of skills in a variety of applications, including:

    • (X)HTML Coding

    • CSS Coding

    • ActionScript 3 (AS3) Coding

    • PHP/MySQL Coding

    • Javascript Coding

    • Adobe Photoshop (CS3/CS4)

    • Adobe Dreamweaver (CS3/CS4)

    • Adobe Flash (CS3/CS4)

    • Adobe Illustrator (CS3/CS4)

I also have a passion and personal hobby involving photography and video production. I especially enjoy experimenting with HDR Photography using a variety of programs. For examples of some of my work, check out the Photography and Video sections.

I've always enjoyed capturing and playing with video, both in a personal and professional setting. I enjoy editing especially, since there are so many things you can to do a video in the post-production video process. Over the years, I've grown familiar with a few editing programs, including Final Cut Pro, iMovie, and After Effects.
